It’s still possible I suppose and I’d like to think it’s true because then
I’d feel less like a jackass, but each day that comes up blank makes it
harder to believe it. If WMD exists in Iraq there must be people who know
where, lots of people if the stockpiles were as large as the USA said before
the war; and not just high ranking people, somebody had to dig the hole and
shove the stuff in. Now that Saddam is gone there would be no reason for
many of these people be fearful and remain quite, in fact they could
logically expect a substantial reward from the occupying power if they
spilled the beans; and yet we hear nothing useful. Perhaps there is a
reason other than the nonexistence of WMD to explain why thousands of people
remain silent but I’ll be dammed if I can figure out what it is.
