    Hungary:

A becoming mother is litigating because the
Scientfic Wealth Administration (SWA) has not
allowed to take and the store stem cells
of her child for possible future medical use.

This operation (taking blood from the
umbilical cord) has been performed routinely
in the past. Now the SWA announced that
this is a research area and the hospitals do
not have the right to do it. They are obliged
to ask for permission of the SWA which makes
the decision in each individual case.
