Jared ate two six inch veggie subs every day plus a normal meal, plus
walking to and from the Subway. Don't know how big a walk that was.
Dieticians have said that his diet was not terribly smart, but I guess
being young and with a lot of fat to spend, he was able to swing it. It
is possible to lose weight in all sorts of unsmart ways, ask any
concentration camp survivor. I've lost weight eating nothing but rice,
and I've also lost weight eating nothing but tuna, celery, and peanut
butter. I doubt that either is very well balanced nutritionally. They
certainly were not very exciting from the perspective of palatability,
and they certainly are not anything within the realm of learning to eat
    smart on a sustained basis.
