    The overwhelming consensus here seems to be that the science is horrid and
    that the book is giving the public the wrong impression of nanotech. My mere
    inquiry inspired even yet another thread to trash the book further!

    On the upside, if it's really that bad then someone will be inspired to
    write another book to show the other side of the story. Perhaps even
    Crichton himself will do it, after he gets his facts straight after reading
    the all the nasty letters he must be receiving.
