By a stroke of luck, Barbara Lamar and I have just mailed off to the
publisher our novel POST MORTAL which attempts just this. (I say `our
novel', but really it is almost entirely Barbara's.)
The disasters in question are stupidity and universal inevitable death, the
sort that gets us all these days.

FWIW, his name's Crichton. I agreed pretty much entirely with Emlyn's
earlier post abusing this awful novel.
