    That might explain it if true. Personally I've never heard of "Eskimo
    salad". Sounds pretty unappetizing to me, but if it's true then it could
    very well be the reason Eskimos don't get scurvy.

    I don't think so. As far as I know C is never synthesized in modern humans,
    though it was synthesized in our very remote ancestors in Africa.
