Right! Exactly, Damien, this is what I would expect.
My notion is that in general, the evolutionary
mechanism of mate selection leads to a number of
positive feedback mechanisms, whereas survival
selection more often leads to negative feedback
mechanisms. Since humans are highly mobile and
mate choice is such a strong feature of mating,
I would expect the human genome to be able to
evolve more quickly than typical mammals.
