Stay away from the electrical stimulation machines.
Yes, they do cause the muscles to move, but not in any way that causes the
kind of calorie burning and muscular stimulation you need for strength or
mass development.
Most hotels can offer you at least a light set of dumbbells for exercising,
and even if they don't, there's a wide selection of body-weight only
exercises [pushups, squats, manmakers, situps] that will get you much much
MUCH better results then those litle gadgets will. And no electrical contact
burns either :)
Yes, it's hard to get "hyoog" without a gym, but it sounds like your goals
are more along the lines of fat-loss and strength development, neither of
which requires much more than a set of dumbbells and willpower.
A good site with an excellent discussion forum for fitness-oriented weight
training is http://www.dragondoor.com. One of the resident authors, Pavel
Tsatsouline, sells an excellent [if slightly expensive] series of books on
fittness-oriented [as opposed to aesthetic, Mr. Olympia-type]
weighttraining.
Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.
