Mall design is a fascinating subject in itself. For instance, mall
corridors are never carpeted, while most of the stores are, to encourage
you to get inside a store where your feet are more comfortable. Also,
straight corridor or L-shaped corridor malls have been superceeded by
new radiating designs which are designed to confuse, making it a more
exploratory experience. See _Coercion: Why We Listen to What "They" Say_
by Douglas Rushkoff, for more.
