:-) Yes, but, joking aside, it is interesting that fundamentally
the same psychology does appear to be in operation! I was highly
amused by CNN or Fox News captioning Bush's upcoming talk with
the words "Bush gives Hussein 48 hours to get out of Baghdad".

It sounded exactly like Wyatt Earp or Matt Dillon giving a desperado
an hour to get out of town, "or else!". But should we really be
surprised that the same patterns animate nations' behavior toward
    each other as animate individuals?

Moreover, as much as I did appreciate that characterization above,
it's a dumb mistake to think that Bush's policy objectives and
deepest strategy is being drawn up by good ol' boys from Texas.
His closest public advisors---Rumsfeld, Powell, and Rice---are
hardly the same "type". Neither are his national security advisors.
So attacks on his "cowboy mentality" are nothing more than sneering
    prejudice against stereotypes.

I wonder if Powell had become President whether those getting great
emotional satisfaction from trashing U.S. foreign policy would be
making jokes about blacks? Think so? Or is that verboten, while
    Texans are fair game?
