There was also a dispersal of sarin gas in the same area from
boobytrapped Iraqi weapons stockpiles that blew up. The dispersal
pattern matches both the incidence of Gulf War Syndrome as well as the
pattern of cancer andother ailments in the Iraqi population.
Given that sarin eventual degrades while DU does not, if DU is the
culprit, there should be increases in ailments in the entire Gulf
region from buildups of DU in fish (this is assuming there isn't a
similar buildup of dioxin and other toxins from the oil soot and sludge
from Saddam blasting Kuwaiti oilfields). The Gulf is a serious toxic
soup, so the idea of blaming one substance, especially one like DU,
which has far less documentation of toxicity than sarin or oil
derivatives, over the others, is hinting of a secondary agenda.
