EvMick,
I worked in factories from 1951 onward. I finished school and worked
at professional level position from 1964 onward.
Just a homely observation but I believe that is a large part of what
fueled the movement of manufacturing to Mexico, SE Asia and other points
outside the US. Some people think Japan is an exception but when I had
consulting assignments inside large companies I was always told what
percentage (fairly large) they owned of various large Japanese companies.
I think guys just got tired of screwing with the unions and the
government whether national, state or local.
