Dread? Naw. A cosmos with two regions inflating faster then another 3rd region cause me no pain. This is because it is what Tipler predicted or utilized as a means to produce Higgs Shear Energy :-) Fantasy-wise, this could be another peoples attemt to get the right bounce, omega style. It probably isn't but we are only at the beginning of our cosmic learnings.
