Following up my wta-talk note :
"March 3rd - Lysistrata"
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wta-talk/message/6445
regarding a 'movement' of actors/actresses/other people performing
or reading Lysistrata, a hilariously bold and bawdy play by
Aristophanes (c. 448-380 BC) that makes an anti-war political
statement.
The play was performed in about 1000 cities March 3, and more or less
deemed a success with a fair bit of press coverage:

Some libertarians became involved in the project too:

[web page also contains some libertarian thoughts regarding
pro-war/anti-war issue]
From the web page:
"Lysistrata was uproariously funny as well as educational.
But was it effective? That is, did it actually reduce the
chances of war? Maybe a little. The Project earned quite a
lot of press, but somehow I doubt anybody in Bush's
administration attended a reading."
