I want to help a good friend of mine who has returned to live in China
after being in the US for a couple of years on business. His
12-year-old son became amazingly proficient in English during this time
(don't you envy kids this ability), and one idea we've got for keeping
his English up to speed for his age is feeding him books. This boy has
an interest in science (right now especially biology and geology --
because lizards and fossils are "cool," but he's got a super bright mind
and will devour anything I send him). I'm looking for good
recommendations for science and science fiction books appropriate to his
age. Any titles will be GREATLY appreciated!
