My cousin, DJ Dak, (David Karla) did a gig yesterday at Melbourne's Federation Square

in the afternoon, trance-electronic-jazz inspired music, with his line-up
"Nanotopia", featuring sound-excerpts from the BBC video "Nanotopia"
from 1995. Melbourne's Federation Square is the newly completed
city heartland which last week saw 200,000 anti-war demonstrators.
The performance was part of a sustainable living festival, so it was
curious to hear the words "nanotechnology" reverberating in the background
while eco-hippies spoke against GE foods in the stalls and tents. There were
several hundred people milling around at any one time.
