if they owned the MCMS software themselves, that might apply. They
don't, they are licensed by the company that produces it and hosts the
server at their facilities. Since I am a mere mechanic for a subsidiary
of the licensee user, and programming has absolutely nothing to do with
my job description for said subsidiary, it is a serious stretch.
There is no 'contract' between myself and my employer. I am an hourly
employee, so there is no expectation of any ownership by the employer
of any work done outside of compensated hours and outside of my job description.
