Iceland says it doesn't have any WMD, but is there proof? "
Last I heard, Icelanders have not invaded Greenland, used WMD against
either their own people or against the Orkneys, Greenlanders,
Newfoundland (and we all know those radical fundamentalist Newfies
deserve it), or the Canary Islands.
The Icelanders, despite decades of tapping geothermal energy sources,
have never tried to turn them into weapons, and have not tried to
purchase technology for doing so from other countries, either openly or
through front companies.
The Icelanders are rather happily members of NATO and have welcomed US
troops on their soil for decades (been there myself) rather than spend
their vast bounties and profits from fish sales on building up their
own military machine.
The Icelanders have not tried to build a supergun capable of putting
sheep into space from parts shipped under labels claiming they are for
fish processing, nor have they bought thousands of artillery pieces
from those dreaded Australian weapons brokers. They haven't built
missiles capable of carrying WMD to long ranges in violation of UN
restriction while claiming they are simply a new tool for whale
hunting.
