Ken,
For years now, I have judged my Doctor's competence (and honesty) by
just this criteria. If a prospective MD tries to pretend that he/she
knows what is going on *and doesn't* I not only do not go back to that
MD, I warn others against going there, and I don't take the
advice/medication either (without another opinion). The time for
shamans is past.
