In fact, the only small drop of popularity, that helped Schröder win the
elections of last September was his strict position against a war in
Iraq, thereby following the public opinion in Germany. His popularity
drops continuously now. I assume he keeps on story-telling and fails to
produce real results - at least not as fast as we'd like to see them.
BTW, the alternative to Schröder was even worse, also story-telling, but
more on the line of the religious conservative *sigh*
