It was, imho, the most well-crafted of Bush speeches to date.
However, I found his arguments for invasion of Iraq far from
compelling. I believe that Bush is less cynical and more
utterly convinced of his course in this and several other areas
than I previously thought. But even accepting your numbers for
a second, belief peaks right after a presentation like this and
then declines thereafter. Nor is the 23% that really disagree
negligible. Nor can you present this poll as significant while
downplaying other polls that say 70% of Americans believe we
should not invade at this time and that we should continue the
inspection process for some months before deciding what to do
next.
