Radar would probably trigger the alarms in the jets, which would fire
their radar seeking missiles then. I'd suggest passive sensors
(heat/sound) and/or target commands from the ground. The latter would
also save weight. Effective machineguns are rather heavy, I think, but
such a (solar-powered sailor?) drone could carry (or be itself) one or
more missile/s. Aim at the target, drop the wings and start the rocket
engine/s. Some US drones can do this (TV report last year), so this
technology could be "aquired". After all, Iraq is still permitted to
build short range missiles up to 150km(?) range (which I think is not a
good thing).
