RE: Talking vs. doing

Great posts, Reason & Robert. I'm in complete agreement, and it's something
that has also been nagging at me these days. While the discussions are
challenging and engaging, I often find them often nothing better than idle
intellectual masterbation.

What's worse, as my Betterhumans & Toronto Transhumanist Association partner
Simon Smith likes to say, "There are those who talk, and those who act. When
the actors act, the talkers talk." Receiving criticism from those who do
nothing more than type on a keyboard is infuriating. The amount of time,
work, and thought that Simon & I put in for our Transhumanist endeavors is
considerable, and it's all done in our spare time.

Reason, your goals for the coming year are admirable, and I wish you luck.
As William Hazlitt once said, "Those who have done nothing, fancy themselves
capable of everything; while those who have exerted themselves to the utmost
feel only the limitations of their powers."
