Yes D. Broderick, it is suspicious:
<<...little has been done to stanch the flagrant flow of crude via the Zakho
border. Nothing has been done to cut off a pipeline that pumps Iraqi oil
into Syria. Nothing has been done to stop an estimated 75,000 to 110,000
barrels a day flowing into Jordan. Nor has anything substantial been done to
stop a regular passenger train to Syria filled with oil.
[and so on]
How... *interesting*.
Damien Broderick >>

And that was one reason that I voted against Bush jr. in the last election,
his softness and cuddley-ness to big oil, but Islamic owned oil. Realize that
when Saddam lights the wells in the next 60 days, that oil surplus flowing
into his coffers will halt. This alone is rather antithetical to the way big
oil types think. This should give you pause for your wag-the-dog suspicion.
