D. Broderick noted:

<<Bali is not part of the Australian mainland.

Bali is part of Indonesia, and contains the largest Hindu population on the
planet.

The terrorist bombers have apologized (?!) for the number of `innocent
bystander' Australians killed in the attack; they thought the tourists they
were killing were predominantly Americans. This applies equally to the
Australians (and many other nationals) slain in the WTC attacks: collateral
damage.

Yes! I was aware of the geography in which the attack occurred and was also
aware of the religious-cultural identity, of the majority of the 'Balians"
too. Now we may see an experiment happen in which the Aussie mainland is
successfully attacked and there, unfortunately, might be a large amount of
casualties. This is not what I wish for you, not even sarcastically, or
indirectly; but I truly fear this will happen.

The test will be, for D. Broderick, and his countrymen and women, on whether
they can keep their civility; after this bit of nastiness happens. In the
USA, we have not, nor is such a thing wise, to hold onto such civility under
the change in circumstances. May the hour of such an 'experiment' be
long-delayed, for all?
