Not intending to keep this thread afloat, but...

Having recently returned to this list as I've mentioned, I found this
thread particularly interesting. It raises not only the list
etiquette question, but the "We get to vote?" notion, and begs if and
how Extropians are "organized." Average thought produces "hurm. I
haven't paid a membership, can I vote?"

But the best part? Given the principles, are Transhumanism and
Extropians attached to the "Freedom of Speech" and "Democracy" memes
for good? Could "Patriotism" be a self-defense or propagation meme
for Extropy? It seems to have taken a democratic republic to produce
Extropy, but what about sustain it in the future? We request it of
our species, but is it required?

re: critique, critiques. Yes. Being of the FA crowd as well I can say
that people in the US by and large take criticism to mean negative
criticism. The same reaction can be got with the word "template." A
template does not save time and effort while preserving quality and
branding - a template is something that comes from on-high to smash
free thinking designers and douse cold water on their creativity.
