I have written a number of reviews of it and Fukuyama's _Our Posthuman
Future_; they form a good pair of books to discuss >H issues around. I
agree that Redesigning is very mild, but that is a good thing. He comes
off as being reasonable but still open for a radical future; when put
beside Fukuyama he looks even better. What I really would like to see is
a deeper philosophical analysis of the position Stock takes: his book is
far more popular science than Fukuyama's, and I think what transhumanism
needs is some good bioethics supporting its position. I hope I can get
the chance to translate some of my own writings on this when I get
post-disseration time for it.
