Well, you could conceiviably print substantial layers that would hold up to 1
atm, and operate the printer inside a vacuum box. Convincing any polymer
printout material to not outgas to the vacuum like a motherfscker, especially
if there were an incandescent filament nearby, would be a lot harder.
But no, I think from my reading they are talking about using things like
OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology.
I'd love to see the halogen-gas-and-tungsten printing tech, though. :)
