An organization can respond philosophically, not politically. Further,
there are several meanings of political. Social structures carry a
political view, but it is more an ideological view than actually political.
>Where does ExI stand in a political world?<
Stand is stasis and the world keeps changing.
If ExI's principles represent the philosophy, then these principles reflect
the philosophical underpinnings of whatever ideological stance is most
appropriate.
For example, I'll be completely subjective in saying that I have no
political affiliation. I don't think that it is futuristic in a world
where all political parties are antiquated. How do I vote? On issues.
Yet, I do have to vote on people from time to time (President, etc.) :-)
so I have to weight which candidate covers at least some of my concerns in
the best possible way available (which is usually not anywhere near the
best possible way).
I can't speak for ExI, Brett. I think you need to take your questions to
Max More.
Take care,
Natasha
