       Let's enlarge that sequence to take in everything from the Berlin
Blockade to Nicaragua and Grenada. The Soviets were out to test us over and
over. IMHO they were winning until old man Reagan saw their achilles heel.
Think how long it took for someone to realise their several weaknesses and
stop the slaughter fairly peacefully.
