The end of an era. I'd felt over the last few years that they'd gone a bit
"light" on the format of this show. In times passed, it seemed much more,
well, "serious" is the best word I can think of.

>Tomorrow's World, the BBC's long-running popular science programme, has
>been dropped from its weekly TV slot after almost 40 years.
>BBC officials have decided not to produce another series following a
>long-term decline in ratings from 10 to three million per show.

At least they seem to be keeping up some kind of commitment to Science on TV.

>Instead they will create a number of new programmes under the Tomorrow's
>World brand name over the coming year.

to satiate desires both subtle and gross. But it's not for the timid."
