An off-line correspondent has brought to my attention
that the term "aligned" here is causing confusion.
I explained that to me, two doctrines are "aligned"
when they have a common denominator, or are necessarily
allied in some way. He retorted that
"One can choose align oneself with the X in order to
achieve some goal, then later shift allegiances and
align instead with Y or anti-X."
I might add to his interpretation that an individual could
easily be allied (or aligned) to two mutually incompatible
doctrines. For example, we might find it contradictory for
someone to espouse both Extropy and racism, but in the wide
world no doubt someone will.
As for "transhumanism", as I explained before, it is an
effort doomed before it starts to attempt to be as exclusive
as Extropianism is.
