Isn't that rather presumptous Michael? There could be many reasons for Eric
to not carry a gun. Or maybe he was carrying but the felons caught him by
surprise. Pulling your gun when one is already pointed at your head is a
good way to get killed quickly.

I too have been held up at gunpoint. Even if I had been armed at the time, I
probably could not have drawn in time to decrease rather than increase the
chances of my being shot.
