Well, it seems that speed reading is quite easy to learn using almost any
kind of tools - the important part seems to be the belief and will to
read faster, and some training.
My guess is that speed reading is not very good for long-term storage of
facts and concepts, since they usually need to be mentally elaborated
("toyed with") to become fixed in long term memory. But some kinds of
information can probably be stored as they are.
