Sorry, I was somewhat in a hurry... Sorting means automagical creation of
(HTML)-browsable (emacs can browse HTML) indexes: as full index (WAIS),
by sender, by subject, by date, etc. etc.

The list majordomo would be relatively easy to write, the only (big)
problem I see is the assumption that everybody at user end of the
mailing list will be using Emacs/PGP... These tools are the logical
choice, but not everybody would have/use them.

This is the one big minus of the idea.
