Steve Witham asked two questions:
1. Can peace be compatible with exploration?
-Of course.
2. What to read for Nietzsche's opinion on this?
-You might want to take a look at his late preface to this
first book "Die Geburt der Tragoedie". (He was a master of
prefaces.) Other places, presumably in his later works, may
be more explicit, but will easily give the wrong impression
if read in isolation.
