What can a stellar attacker gain from attacking a budding, or, a mature
civilization? If he's after information, he can obtain it inobtrusively
or trade for it (not that he has any use for this information, probably).
If he's after matter/energy, there are lots of virgin systems, that much we
know from astronomical data. What for, then?
