Nothing that occurs in nature can properly be called unnatural. Period.

If the indefinitely many strands of transhumanism have *any* common denominator at all, and I often doubt that they do, it would probably be a shared suspicion of the normative/ideological force of the term "natural," generated by a shared sensitivity to the historical and potential consequences of technological development.
