I'm afraid I was never seduced by Babylon 5, but I was well and
thoroughly
seduced 35 years ago by the works of J. R. R. Tolkien, and the few times
I've watched B5 I have always winced in pain at the thinly-disguised
allusions to Tolkien -- "It was the third age of mankind...", the
Rangers,
the Shadows, etc. Sets my teeth on edge.
