I've heard on tv that the Atkin's type diet is followed rigorously for a temporary period of time ( probably until maintenance) after which other types of foods are introduced. However, I wonder how easily the damage from high cholesteral and others is reversed with the addition of the new foods. Also, are any supplements involved while on the diet?
