Fascinating... Do you have any further information on this; even a name? If that trauma could be reproduced on purpose, it could have implications for the criminal justice system. Rather than a death penalty, repeat violent offenders could simply have their violent criminal personalities erased. Sort of like the "death of personality" from B5, without the telepaths...
