I'm currently working through "How the Mind Works" by Steve Pinker. I have only read a couple of chapters so far, but from this alone I would highly recommend it. He writes beautifully, and his exposition of what a computational view of mind implies as well as his explanation and defense of evolutionary psychology are both excellent.
