Good news, at least one biotech company is already working on this.
If I recall correctly, they spliced the gene for calcium building
into the appropriate bacteria and are working with toothbud
implants of it. They are currently working with rats, and it
supposedly is going well.
This was covered in the businessweek special edition on biotech
some months ago.
