Sure. However, I think that the argument is wrong. Major Network television has always been a wasteland of bad influence. However since deregulation, there have been some great cable channels popping up which are for profit which are absolutely great. Discovery, A&E, The History Channel, The Learning Channel, MSNBC, Sci-Fi Channel. These are all examples of how a government regulated market stifles innovation and quality, while a free market stimulates it.
