I'm not impressed at all. I think manned space missions are a tremendous
waste of my taxes. Very little real science has been done on these expensive
flights of fancy and propaganda.
We should all applaud last weeks successful launch of DeepSpace 1, a truly
progressive space project. Ion engines, cool solar power technology,
ingenious self-monotoring systems, and other futuristic technologies that
seem far more essential to the understanding and perhaps population of the
universe by future updates of our species.
The past bunch of space shuttle fights seem redundant and wasteful. A lot of
dubious military agendas being pursued.
