How about the behavior of encoding whatever one feels is
socially approved behavior into enforcible law? How about
the very idea that "society" exists as an entity in its
own right, and is entitled to protections beyond those of
its constituent individuals?

As far as I'm concerned, there is no such thing as "socially
unacceptable" behavior. There is behavior that individuals
seek to protect themselves from, and behavior individuals
seek to encourage. I only have a right to complain about
behavior that potentially harms /me/, not society.
