The current issue of Skeptic magazine (Vol. 5 No. 3) has an article by
Derek Freeman about Margaret Mead. It seems she has become a sort of a
mother-goddess to some anthropologists, many of whom still will not
admit that the Samoans played a big joke on her. For these people,
anthropology is a religion, not a science.
