It has been said less often, but IMO with more accuracy, that the true causes
of terrorism are jealousy, envy, and hate. Obviously secrecy is necessary in
the planning stages, and privacy allows for secrecy. As for oppression and bad
foreign policy, nothing is more oppressive than terrorism, and nothing
constitutes worse foreign policy.
