No, of course not. Every day, 150,000 people die, each one of them as
real a human being as Ken Clements's father or G.P.'s mother - but it's
Ken Clements and G.P. who are writing to this mailing list, and who I
wanted to remind that the fight goes on, for the living. I can best do
that by giving the example of my grandparents, to whom I have a specific
emotional attachment, not by citing statistics. Naturally everyone else
has personal attachments too, and those attachments have no more and no
less value than my own.
