LOL, cows with "subtle intellectual or emotional problems"?
Sounds like herr doktor has some problems.
I see no reason to get excited about cloning. What's the big deal?
Some people seem determined to produce human clones and some vehemently oppose
it.
Much to do about nothing.
The only clone that will make a significant difference will be a clone of a
human-competitive AI. That will shake things up a bit.

Useless hypotheses, etc.:
consciousness, phlogiston, philosophy, vitalism, mind, free will, qualia,
analog computing, cultural relativism, GAC, Cyc, Eliza, cryonics, individual
uniqueness, ego, human values, scientific relinquishment, malevolent AI,
non-sensory experience

We move into a better future in proportion as science displaces superstition.
